Children with diabetes and school
Diabetes Queensland provides information and resources, including guidelines and school plans, for school staff, teachers, parents and students living with diabetes.
The national Diabetes in Schools program encourages families, schools and health professionals to work together to support students to manage their type 1 diabetes at school so they have the chance to learn, achieve and be the best they can be.
The program aims to provide nationally consistent information and training for school staff to ensure students with type 1 diabetes can be supported to manage their condition at school.
