Ingredients
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon of runny honey
- 120g unsalted natural almonds
- 120g unsalted macadamias
Method
Stir ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon and ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg into 1 tablespoon of runny honey. Add in 120g unsalted natural almonds and 120g unsalted macadamias and mix really well.
Pop them in an oven pre-heated to 180C in a single layer on baking paper and bake for 15 mins.
Dietitian Notes / Recipe Tips
Don’t worry about the addition of honey – the fat and protein in the nuts will slow the absorption of the fructose in the honey. The honey is there just to stick the spices to the nuts. You could tweak the spices with your favourite mixture.
