Postcard Fitness Challenge 2022
Imagine you’re really there
Are you ready to join our virtual fitness challenge to beat diabetes?
All you have to do is complete 100km during March 2022. You can walk, run, cycle or swim – the choice is yours. Because it’s a virtual challenge you can complete the 100 kilometres anywhere, anytime, including your local park, pool or walking track. Each kilometre you travel will move you along the iconic Great Ocean Walk. You will be able to imagine you’re really there!
The Postcard Fitness Challenge is your chance to make an impact by raising vital funds for Diabetes Queensland.
How does it work?
Each time you complete an exercise that covers distance, like walking, running, swimming or cycling, you enter the distance covered online. This will take you the same distance along a map of the Great Ocean Walk. You can log the distance covered by syncing your fitness tracker (such as Apple Watch, Fitbit or Strava) or by entering it manually. You have one month to complete the 100 kilometres.
Virtual postcards. Real fitness.
Tracking your progress on our digital map will let you see where you are in relation to other participants. At key milestones along the way you’ll receive virtual postcards and learn about the places you would be passing. We hope this helps you imagine what it’s like to be on the Great Ocean Walk and motivates you to keep going.
The event is free to enter and there are great prizes up for grabs for the top fundraisers. You can register as an individual or for some healthy competition, you can create a team with your friends, family or colleagues. All participants who raise $100 by 18 February will receive a free event t shirt, which you can wear in photos and share with your support crew
Join the challenge today and together we can beat diabetes this March.
