One small act of kindness, one big difference for people with diabetes

In these uncertain and unusual COVID days, sometimes a kind gesture can make all the difference.

Many people in our community are still doing it tough trying to navigate the world of social distancing and unexpected lockdowns.

Every little kindness helps

Toowoomba-based Peer Support Group Facilitator, Jennifer Thomson, recognised that some of her group members had been having a particularly tough time of it and decided to reach out with an act of kindness.

Small Grants Program

Through Diabetes Queensland’s Small Grants Program and in conjunction with Malouf Pharmacies, Jennifer organised care packages for the members of the group she facilitates.

Care packages

The care package comprised of useful items such as glucodin powder, ketone strips, rocktape and hand sanitiser.

We salute you

Those who know Jennifer would not be surprised by her actions. The wellbeing of others is always foremost in her mind. Jenny, Diabetes Queensland salutes you and Malouf Pharmacies. We all get by with a little help from friends like you.
