DiaBuddies is back for 2021

In July-December last year over 180 children with type 1 diabetes, parents and carers attended our Online DiaBuddies events. We were so glad to host the events to help everyone stay connected during COVID. In 2021 we will be hosting more Online Diabuddies events as well as a small number of face to face programs which we will let you know about very soon.

Our Online DiaBuddies events will include sessions with Clown Doctors on Call, heading back to school, sports and type 1 diabetes and even online drama classes. There’s something for everyone.

Parents will have the opportunity to ask questions to our team of resident health professionals and chat with other parents and carers who really know what it’s like to raise a child with type 1 diabetes.

Keep an eye out for emails from us and our events page about further upcoming events for March, April and May. Places are limited and spots are filling up fast, so please sign up soon as you can.

Diabuddies support continues in 2021

If you haven’t done so already, jump on Facebook and join our DiaBuddies support group, a closed Facebook group for parents and carers of children with type 1 diabetes.

Post a question to the group or share your tips with others. We post regularly about upcoming events and research opportunities too.

The presentation of DiaBuddies Online has been made possible through the generous support of Future Generation Australia.
