University of Southern Queensland Type 2 Research Study

Have you been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for more than 1 year and received dietary advice from a general practitioner, dietitian, diabetes educator and/or naturopath?

If the answer is yes then researchers at the University of Southern Queensland would like to speak with you.  With the rates of type 2 diabetes increasing, the university is conducting a study to better understand:

  • What dietary advice you have received from each of the health professionals listed above.
  • How helpful the dietary advice that you have received has been.
  • How consistent/variable dietary advice has been.

If you would like more information on this study, and you are interested in taking part in it, please contact USQ post-graduate psychology student, Ms Andrea Gietzel-Tierney (the principal researcher) on 0478 778 745.

The USQ research team will happily answer any questions and arrange a convenient time and place for an interview with you. Please note that all interview comments will remain confidential and no individual will be personally identified from the data reported.

In appreciation of your time, your name will be entered into the draw for a $150 gift voucher to use at the Grand Central Shopping Centre.
