For people with type 1 diabetes, Diabetes Queensland's EXPOsing
Diabetes is about to happen in Brisbane.
hereto register for EXPOsing Diabetes Brisbane, which will be
held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday,
28 April, from 8.30am to 3.30pm.
The day, which also has a type two program that is run
separately, is designed to equip you with the latest information
you need to live well with diabetes. In the words of the great
American poet Maya Angelou, "Do the best you can. When you know
better, do better".
EXPOsing is made up of interactive and engaging presentations
from health professionals who work closely in the area of diabetes.
You will come away from the day feeling more confident, motivated
and empowered to live well with your diabetes.
Some of the topics that will be covered include a session by Dr
Grant Cracknell, an endocrinologist, who will tell you the latest
on "Day to day management". We also have credentialled diabetes
educator Jennifer La Cour talking about the latest technology. DQ's
accredited practicing dietitian Steve Flint will talk with you
about "Understanding all the macronutrients". The day finishes with
