DQ EXPOsing coming to Brisbane

For people with type 1 diabetes, Diabetes Queensland's EXPOsing Diabetes is about to happen in Brisbane.

Click hereto register for EXPOsing Diabetes Brisbane, which will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday, 28 April, from 8.30am to 3.30pm.

The day, which also has a type two program that is run separately, is designed to equip you with the latest information you need to live well with diabetes. In the words of the great American poet Maya Angelou, "Do the best you can. When you know better, do better".

EXPOsing is made up of interactive and engaging presentations from health professionals who work closely in the area of diabetes. You will come away from the day feeling more confident, motivated and empowered to live well with your diabetes.

Some of the topics that will be covered include a session by Dr Grant Cracknell, an endocrinologist, who will tell you the latest on "Day to day management". We also have credentialled diabetes educator Jennifer La Cour talking about the latest technology. DQ's accredited practicing dietitian Steve Flint will talk with you about "Understanding all the macronutrients". The day finishes with psychologist Carolyn Uhlman addressing "Type 1 and emotional health".
