Each food group provides all the necessary vitamins, minerals and nutrients we need to keep us healthy. 

 

In general


  • limit saturated fat and moderate your total fat intake
  • choose foods low in salt
  • cut back on alcohol
  • avoid foods high in kilojoules and added sugar and salt, like sweet biscuits. Only eat these foods occasionally and in small amounts
