Stretch out

Stretching is an important part of any exercise program. It can help improve your flexibility and avoid sore muscles. Add these six light stretches to the end of your exercise session today. Hold each stretch for about 20-30 seconds - you should feel a slight stretch. Stop immediately if you feel pain.

 

Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) Emma Briskey recommends to always seek medical advice before starting a new exercise program, particularly if it has been a while since you were last active. If you have a medical condition you are strongly advised to talk with your GP and/or an AEP prior to starting exercise, especially if you would like to increase your exercise intensity.
