Resistance exercise workout - session 3: Back and core

Over the past two months, Diabetes Queensland accredited exercise physiologist and dietitian Kathryn Kirchner has taken us through her Resistance exercise workouts.  This month she will take you through session 3 where she demonstrates the all-important back and core exercises.

While cardio exercises, like running have their place as part of your regular exercise routine, they are best performed in tandem with resistance exercise that increases muscle strength and endurance.


Complete in two sets of eight repetitions for maximum effectiveness.  As always, it's important to check with your GP before starting any new exercise routine.
