DESMOND Program - information and registration
DESMOND (Diabetes Education
and Self-Management for
Ongoing and Newly
Diagnosed) is an evidence-based education
program designed to support people living with type 2
diabetes. Funding to support this program is provided by the
National Diabetes Services Scheme.
The program recognises there is no "one size fits all" approach
to diabetes management, providing participants a welcoming,
non-judgemental space to explore and plan how they would like to
manage their condition.

client, and encourage to book today.
The workshops are free and run over two half-days, 9am-12pm, or
one full-day, 9am-3.30pm.
The program is built around group activities, with participants
sharing experiences and talking about what type 2 diabetes means to
them. It is facilitated by specialised DESMOND trained health
