Empowering Schools to Support Children with Diabetes - North Lakes

This seminar offers key staff in school settings the opportunity to expand their knowledge and become more confident in supporting and facilitating the day to day experience of young people with type 1 diabetes in their care.


Sessions will include information about diabetes and diabetes management, and practical workshops covering a variety of specialised topics in more detail including:


  • Blood glucose monitoring and Continuous Glucose Monitors
  • Insulin, Insulin pumps and Hypoglycaemia
  • Learning at school
  • Physical Activity, camps and excursions
  • Diabetes Nutrition
  • Communication and responsibilities


Cost: $70 per person (incl GST)


Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and handout materials provided.


School will be invoiced by Metro North Hospital and Health Service after the event.
