Ways to give

Thanks to the generosity of our donorswe can be here to support people living with diabetes every step of the way.

Donations are used to challenge public perceptions about diabetes, deliver services to help people living with the condition and fund vital research for better treatments, support programs or a possible future cure.

There are several ways you can help.

Make a donation

You can donate online, or contact us. If you prefer you can send a cheque or money order made out to Diabetes Queensland to:

Become a regular giver

Join our group of committed individuals who make regular donations as part of our Good Life Alliance.

Becoming part of the Good Life Alliance is easy because your regular monthly donations will be deducted automatically from your credit card or bank account. You can make changes to the amount or timing of your gifts at any time, and we’ll send you a tax receipt at the end of the financial year.

You can sign up for a regular donation now using our online form, or by phoning our contact centre on 1800 177 055.

Give through your employer

If you are in full or part-time employment you can make regular donations via direct debit from pre-tax salary. This is known as payroll or workplace giving.

Being set up as a workplace giver and having these donations processed is seamless. The gift is automatically taken from your pre-tax salary, leading to an instant tax saving. This means that you don’t have the hassle of keeping receipts and claiming at tax time, because it’s all done before tax.

Pre-tax donations can lower your taxable income (although this will depend on your individual circumstances). What’s more, some employers will match your donations, which means you’ll be helping even more people living with, or at risk of diabetes. Find out more
