Diabetes in Schools

This one-day, level 2 group education workshop offers school staff the opportunity to expand their knowledge and become more confident in supporting students with type 1 diabetes. Training is general and is not specific to the needs of individual students. The training covers topics including supporting a student with diabetes, food and type 1 diabetes, monitoring glucose levels, insulin, low and high glucose levels, being active, camp planning and planning for change. 

Important additional information: 

  • All participants must have completed the Diabetes in Schools online level 1 training prior to the level 2 face-to-face training. Please click here to complete the level 1 training (this is best done using the Google Chrome browser) 

  • Participants are required to bring: their own lunch and snacks, as well as a pen
