1. Where is my closest support group?

 

There are many support groups in Queensland. To search for your closest support group, click here.

 

2. How do I start a support group?

 

Support groups can be as small as a group of two or three people who meet or talk regularly by phone or the internet to provide support to one another, or a group may have more than one hundred members who come together to hear information from guest speakers and health professionals, share in social outings and run special events.



If you are interested in setting up a support group, please email

supportgroups@diabetesqld.org.au  with your full name, contact number and postcode. Alternatively, you can call our Helpline on 1300 136 588 to speak to one of our friendly customer service team members.

 

 

3. Do I have to be a member of Diabetes Queensland to join a support group?

 

No, you do not have to be a member of Diabetes Queensland to join a support group. Anyone with an interest in diabetes can join a support group.
