Diabetes - What Now?

The 'Diabetes - What now?' program is for people with type 2 diabetes; in particular those who have been newly diagnosed or who have not had any diabetes education.


The two sessions are free of charge and full of useful information to help you feel confident about managing your diabetes.


The sessions, delivered by a Diabetes Educator and a Dietitian, aim to provide you with an overview of:


  • What is diabetes?
  • Healthy eating
  • Physical activity
  • Diabetes medications and insulin
  • Blood glucose monitoring
  • Setting your own health goals
  • Your diabetes health care team.


Sessions are run regularly at Chermside, Ipswich, Strathpine, Logan, Browns Plains, Beenleigh, Beaudesert, Redlands, Inala, Eight Mile Plains, Rockhampton, Townsville and Roma.
